Senior Pastor

Pastor and his wife, Jean, have faithfully served at First Baptist Church for 35 years. Originally from Austin, Minnesota, where he worked as a farmer before being called to ministry, he answered God’s call after graduating from Bible college. When he became the pastor of First Baptist Plattsmouth, the congregation consisted of just three dedicated senior members. He credits God’s guidance and blessing for the remarkable growth and blessings the church has experienced since then.

Heath, originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has experience as both a music director and principal. He, along with his wife Rachel and their four children, have been a wonderful addition to our church community. He now serves as the Music Director at First Baptist Church and teaches the New Heights Connection Group.
Next Generation Pastor

Andrew Starr is the latest member to join the FBC staff. A Kansas native, he graduated from Maranatha Baptist University and Seminary. Along with his wife Rachel and their four children, Andrew has been a wonderful addition to our church family. He serves as our Next Generation Pastor, leading the Wednesday night youth class and the Crossroads Connection Group.

Jerry has been part of the First Baptist Church community since 2010. Hailing from Arnold, Nebraska, he completed his studies at a Bible college in Kansas City, Missouri. Today, he plays a key role in coordinating the nursing home ministry and leads the Faith Builders Connection Group.

Jesse has been serving at First Baptist School since 2010. A Plattsmouth, Nebraska native, he graduated from a Bible college in Indiana with a Bachelor’s degree in School Administration. He now leads the Thrive Connection Group.
