MOMS Group | September - May

1st Thursday of the month | 9:30am-11:30am

Join us at First Baptist Church for MOMS (Making Our Mothering Significant), a special gathering held on the 1st Thursday of every month from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. This event is designed to provide support, encouragement, and fellowship for mothers in our community. Whether you’re a new mom, experienced parent, or expecting, MOMS is a place where you can connect with others, share experiences, and grow together in your journey of motherhood.

We offer childcare for a nominal fee of $3 per child, allowing you to fully engage in the activities and discussions without worrying about your little ones. Additionally, breakfast is provided, so you can enjoy a delicious meal while connecting with other moms. Join us for meaningful conversations, valuable insights, and a supportive community that understands the joys and challenges of being a mom.

Food Pantry

2nd Thursday of the month | 4pm-6pm

Join us on the second Thursday of each month from 4-6 pm at the Northwest parking lot for our free community Food Pantry. We offer nutritious groceries to anyone in need – no registration required.

Awana Club | August - May

Wednesday Nights | 6:45pm

Children must be at least 4 years old to attend Awana at First Baptist Plattsmouth. Awana is geared for children from 4 years of age to those in 6th grade. The cost to participate is $20 per year for each club member. Each member will receive a shirt or vest and an Awana handbook. Awana will begin Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, and go until Wednesday, May 14th, 2025. The times will be from 6:45 pm – 8:00 pm. Please do not drop children off earlier than 6:30 and please pick up no later than 8:05.

Midday Bible Study-

Wednesdays | 11am

Starting January 15th through February 26th, gather on Wednesday mornings at 11 AM for a time of fellowship and an engaging study in God’s Word. Refresh your spirit and uncover practical insights from timeless truths in a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere as we explore the book of 2 Samuel.

Split Groups

Wednesday Nights | 7pm

Starting January 15th through February 26th, delve into A Contrast of People of Proverbs in our men’s and women’s classes. Gather on Wednesdays at 7 PM for an enriching study that highlights practical wisdom and timeless truths from the book of Proverbs. Connect with others in a supportive, focused environment as we explore the contrasts and lessons this Scripture offers.

Ladies' Winter Warm Up

January 28th | 6:30pm

Join us for the Ladies’ Fellowship – Winter Warm Up, a heartwarming evening filled with food, fellowship, and camaraderie. This year, we’ll come together and prepare lunch sack lunches for the local men’s homeless center. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect, serve, and tangibly share God’s love. Don’t miss this chance to bless others while enjoying time with friends!

Blood Drive

February 27th | 1:30-5:45pm

Make a life-saving impact by donating blood! The Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at First Baptist School, 816 Main Street. Your generous donation can help save lives and provide hope to those in need. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference in our community!

Neighborhood Prayer Group

February 2nd | 6:00pm

Experience the power of prayer and fellowship at our Neighborhood Prayer Groups service. Gather together as a church family to lift up our community and one another in prayer. During the service, we will partake in the Lord’s Supper, reflecting on Christ’s sacrifice and renewing our faith. Afterward, stay for a potluck meal, enjoying delicious food and warm fellowship. All are welcome to this meaningful time of worship and connection!
