God loves each of us dearly and desires a close relationship with us.

In John 3:16, it says,
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Why must we believe?

Recognition of Our Problem

As human beings, we are inherently flawed because of sin.

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23,
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

This means that none of us are perfect; we’ve all come short of God’s perfect standard because of our sin.

Sin is simply disobeying God. We all have sinned.

Consequences of Our Sin

Sin has serious consequences.

Romans 6:23a warns us, “For the wages of sin is death.”

The Bible speaks of two kinds of death: physical death and second death.

Revelation 20:14 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”

The second death is the lake of fire (hell).

God’s Solution to Restore

In His love, God offers forgiveness for our sin, through His Son, Jesus.

Romans 5:8-9 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

Jesus Christ paid our sin debt when He died and shed His blood on the cross 2000 years ago. He rose from the grave to prove His power over death.

Now, Jesus is in heaven preparing a place for those who accept Him as their personal Savior.
