Newborn - 6th Grade Sundays 8:45am, 10am, 11am Wednesdays 7pm

At First Baptist, our wonderful team of trained staff and volunteers is dedicated to ensuring your kids have a great time while you enjoy the Sunday worship experience in our main auditorium. We believe church can be fun, engaging, and impactful for kids of all ages!

If you’re visiting us for the first time, we recommend arriving about 20 minutes before our service start times [8:45AM & 11AM] to stop by our Kids Check-In area, located near the main lobby. This gives us a chance to register your family, introduce you to our secure kids’ area, and answer any questions.

To save time, you can use our Pre-Registration form below before your visit. When you arrive, head straight to our Kids Check-In, where our team will be ready to welcome you.

NURSERY

[BIRTH - 3 YEARS]

We provide a structured, play-based atmosphere. Workers use activities to teach Christian concepts including kindness, sharing, obedience, and truths about Jesus and the Word of God. We take our role as nursery workers very seriously. Another important priority of our nursery is to provide a clean, safe, and organized environment. Parents can feel secure and at ease when leaving their children in our care.

PRIMARY

[4 - 5 YEARS]

In our 4-5-year-old class, we provide a nurturing and structured environment where young children can begin to explore faith in an engaging, age-appropriate way. Using stories, songs, crafts, and interactive play, our teachers introduce fundamental Christian principles like kindness, patience, and sharing, along with foundational truths about God’s love. Our team is committed to creating a safe, joyful space where children feel valued and excited to learn about Jesus.

BEGINNER

[K - 2ND GRADE]

In our K-2nd grade class, we offer a warm, structured setting that helps young children build a solid foundation in their faith. Through age-appropriate lessons, games, and hands-on activities, children learn important Christian values such as kindness, listening, and following God’s Word. Our teachers are dedicated to creating a fun and safe environment where children feel loved and excited to learn about Jesus.

JUNIOR

[3RD - 6TH GRADE]

Our 3rd-4th grade classes provides a structured, engaging environment designed to encourage growth in faith and character. Through interactive lessons, activities, and discussions, we teach essential Christian values like kindness, honesty, and respect. Students also learn foundational truths about Jesus and the Bible, helping them understand God’s Word in a meaningful way. Our teachers take their role seriously, aiming to create a safe, welcoming space where students can learn and grow.

Kid's Opportunities

Awana Club | AUG-MAY

Wednesdays | 6:45pm

Children must be at least 4 years old to attend Awana at First Baptist Plattsmouth. Awana is geared for children from 4 years of age to those in 6th grade. The cost to participate is $20 per year for each club member. Each member will receive a shirt or vest and an Awana handbook. Awana will begin Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, and go until Wednesday, May 14th, 2025. The times will be from 6:45 pm – 8:00 pm. Please do not drop children off earlier than 6:30 and please pick up no later than 8:05.

Vacation Bible School

July 20th-23rd 2025

Lion's Club | MAY-AUG

Wednesdays | 7pm

The Lions’ Club is a kid’s program held on Wednesday nights from 7pm to 8pm, serving as a replacement for adult Bible study. It provides an engaging environment where children can learn valuable lessons from the Bible while also enjoying a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. This program aims to combine spiritual education with fun and fellowship, creating a dynamic and enriching experience for young participants.

Children's Christmas Program

Join us for the annual Children’s Christmas Program, a heartwarming event where the true spirit of Christmas comes alive! Experience the wonder of the season as our children share the Christmas story through joyful songs, a retelling of the nativity, and captivating performances. Hear the angels sing, listen to the wise men’s journey, and celebrate the birth of Jesus in this beautiful tradition.
