At First Baptist Plattsmouth, we believe in the importance of families worshiping together. That’s why we invite children in 1st-4th grade to join adults in the auditorium for the beginning part of each service, allowing them to engage in worship alongside their families. Afterward, they are dismissed to their classes where they’ll receive age-appropriate teaching. We encourage families to worship together at the start of each service, fostering a sense of unity and shared experience.
Because your child is important to God, your child is important to us, too. When you and your child visit First Baptist Plattsmouth for the first time, we ask for the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (such as allergies or special needs) for each child. This information is entered into our secure check-in system to ensure your child’s safety and to provide the best possible care during their time with us.
Children’s Sunday School provides a fun and engaging environment where kids, from infants through 6th grade, learn about God’s Word in a way that is meaningful to them. Each Sunday at 10 am, children explore Bible lessons, enjoy hands-on activities, and build friendships that encourage their faith. Our dedicated teachers create a safe and loving space where kids can grow spiritually, ask questions, and develop a strong foundation in Christ. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to experience God’s love while learning timeless truths that will guide them through life.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. All First Baptist Plattsmouth volunteers undergo background checks, and we have a trained security team in place to ensure your child’s well-being. We use a secure check-in and pick-up system with security tags, and our team is ready to contact parents/guardians by phone during a worship service if needed. Your child’s safety and comfort are important to us every step of the way.
